Questions, corrections and character requests are all welcome.
Useful things to include: the page you were on, the device and browser, and — most importantly — the exact character that misbehaved. Screenshots help a lot when the problem is a character rendering as a box rather than a copy failure.
If a character is missing, say what you need it for. Symbols are chosen by purpose rather than by rarity, so knowing the use case is what decides whether something gets added.
If a Unicode name or a stated use is wrong, say which one and, if you can, where you checked. Accuracy on the technical symbols matters more here than elsewhere, because people use them in legal and mathematical writing.
This is a small site run by a small team. Reports are read and genuine problems are fixed, but a reply can take a few days.
| What you see | Usually means |
|---|---|
| A character shows as an empty box | The device's fonts do not cover that Unicode block. Nothing is broken — try the outlined version of the same symbol, which sits in a more widely supported range |
| A game rejects the name | The game client filters characters outside its own font. Use Bold or Italic and drop fraktur and double-struck |
| Copy does nothing | The browser has blocked clipboard access. Most browsers allow it on HTTPS; on an older browser the fallback copies via a hidden field and needs one more keypress |
| A symbol looks different from the picture | Fonts differ between Apple, Google, Samsung and Microsoft. The character is the same everywhere |
| A Unicode name is wrong | A real bug worth reporting — the names come from the Unicode Consortium's published data and should match it exactly |
Reporting the exact character is the single most useful thing you can include, because it lets the problem be reproduced immediately rather than guessed at.
